A new way for me to buy a used car in these 'covid' times but one which now I can heartily recommend if you do it like I did through SMC. I was searching the internet to find an 'as new as possible' convertible car for the hoped for summer months and came upon SMC through Gumtree. I thought I was only browsing with a view to buying some weeks ahead but after spotting one that took my fancy, telephoning and speaking to Martin - the proprietor - and being assured that he had just what I wanted and moreover it was a superb example of what I was wanting I was more than willing to believe him and that very phone call found us agreeing a price, settling on him taking my old car in part exchange and arranging a forthcoming delivery to my house well nigh 100 miles away at a date to be arranged in the next few days. Never was I made to feel under pressure and all of my questions were answered honestly and truthfully with no hint of a second-hand car salesman stereotype. My mood then turned to one of excitement and within the week as agreed I was the proud owner of a 2013 convertible Renault Megane - delivered to my house with a tank full of diesel and specially cleaned and valeted throughout. The paperwork for the purchase and sale was done at our house over the internet as simple as anything and the car looked a dream - so no more doubts from me over the new normal - especially when your dealing with someone as affable and professional as Martin.

Fantastic service and great value car. I’d been searching online for a while and still couldn’t find what I was looking for. Then after a recommendation I contacted Martin from SMC, we told him what car we wanted. At the time he didn’t have one in stock but within 24 hours he’d found one. Just a few days later we picked it up, they even sorted out the funding and included a warranty...couldn’t be happier, thanks for all your help.

With the imminent demise of my previous small car and tax/MOT/service all due in two to three weeks, we took the decision to replace it as soon as possible, but of course with the Covid restrictions, it most certainly wasn't possible to buy a car in the normal way. I started looking online and then on the Monday, found a car at SMC, rang Martin the director, went to view it in controlled conditions, liked it and agreed to the sale all within half a day. I then collected it on the Friday. It had been valeted and cleaned extremely well and Martin did all the paperwork in minutes both for the old car and the new. Very impressed with the service and the new car is excellent. Very pleased indeed. Thank you Martin and SMC Motors.

Very friendly, Very honest. After looking for a Ds3 within my price range, I stumbled across SMC on line. I Asked about a part exchange, which was excepted and got a good price for my old car. I picked up the car a week later and was informed on pick up that I needed to take it back to replace a defective part. Car was booked in, part was changed yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for a very pleasant experience. 100% satisfaction.

Just had my Car MOT'd and the service was brilliant. They even came to my work address collected the car and dropped it back off when finished. Very professional and the lady picking up and dropping off the car was really friendly and helpful. If i could give ten stars i would.
